NATURALISTIC - Art Exhibition

  • Kerri Greens 38 Paringa Road Red Hill South, VIC, 3937 Australia (map)

Naturalistic

“Satisfaction derived from direct contact with nature; a sense of fascination, wonder and awe.”

‘Naturalistic’ is a group exhibition exploring the theme of feeling connected to place on the Mornington Peninsula. Special one off art pieces will be available for purchase at the exhibition.

Sarah Dingwall - Lucy Hersey - Janis House - Kate Macindoe - Emma Morgan - Emma Shepherd - Amber Skehan

Through painting, glass, sculptural wall art, weaving, photography and jewellery, each artist explores and interprets this theme and their own relationship with nature and places of significance.

In a world that is becoming increasingly fast paced, the artists share the desire to slow down. Drawing on their natural surrounds, they honour the slow and intentional handmade process that leads to their finished works of art.

This exhibition invites the viewer to share this connection to place and reflect on their own. The outdoor spaces that help you breathe a little deeper, your heart beat a little slower, and spark that feeling of fascination, wonder and awe. These are the places that feel like home.

We would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Mornington Peninsula, the Boon Wurrung and Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation who were here long before us on this beautiful land. We recognise their continuing connection to land, sea, culture and community and pay our respects to elders past and present.
