“A new wine. Fruit comes off vineyards in Bittern, Shoreham and Red Hill. While there’s a thread of coolness to this – thanks to the acidity and lots of fresh herbs and stemmy/sappy notes – it’s fuller bodied and richly flavoured. Macerated cherries, pomegranate and Middle Eastern spices with wafts of incense. Spicy yet savoury oak adds to the palate weight, even if the tannins are a little angular at this early stage.
