The Musk Creek vineyard was planted in 1994 in the hilltops of Flinders. At 180m elevation and as one of the most southerly vineyard sites on the Peninsula this is a cold vineyard where fruit ripens slowly. The Chardonnay is exposed to the north on a steep slope. Rich, red, volcanic soils drive the health of this vineyard allowing the grapes to balance flavour and acid late into the season. 

Managed without the use of herbicides, mildews are controlled using only copper and sulphur. 

Whole bunch pressed into barrel with full solids, wild fermentation is allowed to occur. In Spring the wine finishes it's malo ferment, balancing the acidity created in the vineyard. Racked to tank and left for a few weekends the wine was bottled without filtration. 

Tangerine blossom, white nectarine and lemon slice finishing with a grapefruit whoosh.
